As time passes, and the design life of pavement reaches the end of its cycle, the rate of deterioration accelerates. Proper pavement maintenance will significantly lengthen the life of asphalt, but eventually rehabilitation and/or reconstruction may be necessary. Often more than one technique can be used to solve the specific pavement problem.

We are proud to offer same day pavement services in Los Angeles. Paving Fabric Inter-layer are engineered geotextile fabrics placed between layers of asphalt concrete. Overlays with inter-layer fabrics have had an outstanding record of improving pavement performance while reducing maintenance and life-cycle costs. Paving Fabric Inter-layer Systems extend the life of new AC pavements and AC overlays. When placed between layers of AC pavement, these systems becomes an integral part of the asphalt section, forming a barrier to water infiltration and absorbing stresses to reduce reflective and fatigue cracking of the new asphalt surface layer.

There are two main types of patch repairs procedures that will provide a suitable fix to most asphalt related issues, full-depth patching and surface patching. Full-depth patching involves the removal of the entire layer of pavement surface down to or including the sub-base, depending on the condition of the stone base. New sub-base is then installed, a tack coat is applied and new asphalt pavement is back-filled into the patch area. Surface patching is a more temporary fix and should only be considered for a surface that is in relatively good condition.
